The notable founder and owner of K9 Loft, located in Los Angeles and Shermer Oaks, has certainly led an fascinating life thus far and it doesn’t look like Afshin Sabouri is slowing down anytime soon. To receive into the mind of the man who had a vision for the senior pooch daycare – an 8,500 square foot retreat that offerings everything from grooming and boarding to teeth cleaning and doggy photo shoots – we asked him some enquiries about his life, hobbies and passions.
The initial and obvious commitment of Afshin Sabouri is language. He seems to be enchanted by other languages and he also seems to have a skill for picking them up. Today, in addition to Englihs, Afshin Sabouri can speak elegant French, Spanish, Italian and Persian. Sabouri says that knowing these several languages has certainly given him a leg up in the business organization world, especially while working with clients from several countries.
Along with his love for languages, Sabouri loves to travel and he takes every opportunity he can get to do so. He does admit, however, that he has not made it over to Japan as of yet. But when the chance arises, you can bet that he’s going to select it.
To relax, Sabouri enjoys relaxing with his doggy and hiking. He takes his doggy with him to some of the striking views that Southern California has to offer. San Jacinto in Palm Springs is a cherished hiking discern of his, with a peak elevation of 13,500 feet (the highest point in all of Southern California). Sabouri says that he is currently training, along with his puppy, to climb Mt. Kilamanjaro this summer.
